If it was me in your shoes, I would be a real a$$ and put a fence around MY sign on MY property, and put a No Trespassing sign on the fence, lol. Then if someting happened to your signs you could claim she was trespassing and vandalized your property! If she says prove it, say well, my son attests to the fact he was told by you to take it down, and you told me, "Or I will", so I would percieve that as a threat. I know, I am a real meana$$, but I have to deal with people who have no brains around me. THey think its a free for all, if its there, they can have it, use it, walk on it, drive on it, whatever strikes their fancy. So I get real defensive for myself and others that have to deal with these sort of people. Give it to her with both barrels honey! Tell her to bring it on! You can take her any day! :) She don't know who she is messin with!

Don't be too hard on her Jimbob, Kelly is one of those fiercely protective people that make attachments fast and is caring to a fault. I think it's sweet. Course I would, she's on my side at the moment. How could I not appreciate that? Lol!

Cindy, the neighbor is ignorant, not Kelly. So sorry to post without using a more detailed post!

Fred says that the man told another neighbor that our sign needed to be moved because they want to put a fence up along their property line. Right now they say our sign is sitting on their property line.

If they put a fence in line with the sign, they will have their fence six feet inside the easement. Fred says we are going to move the sign, and wait until they get their two hundred feet of fence up and then call the county to come out and tell them to move it back six feet. Sounds fair to me. I can think of no better way for them to learn to get a survey before they start making demands.

Ticks me off that we have to move the sign just so they can learn a lesson, but it'll be worth it in the end, when they move their fence and we put the sign right back up where it was to begin with. I know they're going to put the fence up because the materials have already been delivered.

boy do i love to stick my nose in.... i can't find the thread on this, so can i ask? you have had the line surveyed? it proves you right (as far as the surveyor knows)? have they also had it surveyed? does the surveyor know of the disagreement? is a lawyer involved (yet). be careful of letting someone place structures on your land. it may be harder than you think to get it removed. be very aware of adverse posession laws in your area (yeah i know about my spelling problems) if i knew what you said you know, i would have a lawyer send a letter to landowners/local police before this goes too far. and letting someone tresspass and construct on your land is too far.
