We are going by the old concrete property markers that have been here forever. We have one at the corner of our property and theirs but it is all the way down by our driveway, so I'm sure they are not aware of it. There is also one at the opposite corner but it is covered by weeds. We know it's there but apparently they don't.

Also, the old woman who lived there before had an electric fence that ran directly between these two markers. She had a cow in there that was being raised for butcher. Once the cow was butchered, she took the fence down. It was while this fence was up that we put up our sign. The sign was six feet south of the fence. That's why the old lady had no problem with the sign. She KNEW where the property line was. Not to mention the fact that it prevented a stream of people from banging on her door looking for us.

here in Va it seems they do a survey everytime a home changes hands. at least they do out where we live. Just be a pain if they do put up a fence and you have to devote time and maybe some money to prove you are right.Go down to the courthouse and check if you can. Just trying to keep you from a high blood pressure attack. Besides that, if you end up in jail you will go crazy if they don't give you access to a comp. So, I am looking out for you

Lol! So true. I would be writing on toilet paper and passing it between cells.
