Wicks for a sleeve type kerosene burner

Our kitchen stove is a combination gas and K1 kerosene. The wicks in the kerosene burners need to be replaced every year or so and I can't find a place to buy them since asbestos was out-lawed. I've heard that they use fiber glass now but still can't find a source. A friend told me that he'd heard they have them in Canada. Anyone out there with any experience along these lines? Many thanks for any advice you can offer.

Are these cylindical mfg wicks or strip wicking? If strip type, may be called "kinver"(sic) wicking or such.Such wicking is usually fitted into a holder and long tail is suspended in kerosene reservoir...If cylindrical wicks,as used in heaters etc, supplier might be able to match them up on length, diameter, fittings basis.

I'm not familiar with the stove you're talking about, but I suggest you call Lehman's, they have a source for just about any wick you could want from Aladdin to Perfection to no-names.

I'm pretty sure their 800 number is on the web.
