I did everything like it said, but I also read it has to be a jpg or something else. WHen I scan my pics onto the computer ( I have a MultiPass Canon c530 scanner, printer, fax, copier) it comes out as a BMP picture, which won't work, it won't accept it aterthe picture is retrieved, says its an unknown picture type or something. Any suggestions? Can you change pics from a BMP to a JPG?

Thanks to all, I will try it and see if I can change it. My husband says I should be able to, but he hasn't used it in so long he can't remember that much about it all.

In my computer if you right click the photo you will get an edit feature. In the edit feature, click save as, then at the very bottom it should give you choices as to whether you want to save it as a jpeg.

most scanners let you choose what format you want the pic to be filed in. Try changing the file name to JPG

OK< KELLY, here goes my try, now ya gotta understand this will be like the blond leading the blind!
First of all you have to have pic on your computer. Then you have to have a web site to store it on. Here is a free one that works well.
http://villagephotos.com/signup.asp
After you sign up you can "UP LOAD PHOTO'S"
click on upload, and then browse, find the pic you want to upload, click on it, and it will be entered, then tell it to upload. NOW you have a picture placed somewhere that you can post here.
You then find the URL for that pic from the village site, highlight and copy it, then you come here and open the page to post a message,and when you get to the "Optional Image URL" you go there and right click, and paste the url you saved from village, then submit and the pic should show up.
Later
Ron

I am sorry, Kelly :-(

If it does not work;
I am lost as to how to change a BMP;
I dont even know what that is!!
LOL
My computer knowledge is very limited.

Lenore and Kelly, a BMP means Bitmap and is a whole lot bigger than a JPG or JPEG. JPG is a compressed version of a picture and takes up less bites. Bitmap (or BMP) is good for saving pictures you want to print out, but not for sending in email or to a website, due to taking up too much space.
