Been feeling great lately then yesterday morning I got up with a terrible cough, which turned into fever, chills, and major body aches by the end of the day. Feels just like I got a bad case of the flu. No real problem since I'm sure it'll pass soon but Im a bit concerened since I understand west nile virus has similar symptoms and the mosquito's are worse this year than Ive ever seen em before. Oh well enough whining for the day I got the kids off for their first day of school now Im gonna try and crawl back under the covers and get warm, catch y'all later

Apparently not, cause it's going around here, and your right the skeeters are worse than I can remember. West nile is pretty active on the east coast this year, due to the wet weather.
Hope ya feel better soon,
Later
Ron

From the west nile info web site:

Most people who are infected with the West Nile Virus will not have any type of illness. It is estimated that 20% of the people who become infected will develop West Nile fever: mild symptoms, including fever, headache, and body aches, occasionally with a skin rash on the trunk of the body and swollen lymph glands.

The symptoms of severe infection (West Nile encephalitis or meningitis) include headache, high fever, neck stiffness, stupor, disorientation, coma, tremors, convulsions, muscle weakness, and paralysis. It is estimated that 1 in 150 persons infected with the West Nile Virus will develop a more severe form of disease.

LH, hope you feel better soon! You might get your wife to get you some Thera-Flu and fix a cup of it with enough honey to hide the taste, then sleep as much as you can. If you get a rash, like Cindi's post was talking about, go see a doctor right away! Good luck with it.

I will offer Clod's solution to flu like symptoms,
Alka Seltza plus Cold (orange or cherry flavo). I was feeling yucky last year and he kept telling me to get some. For two days he asked if I had. So I went and bought it, took it and felt better in an hour!
So I now keep it on hand and recomend it to others.
