Yes, and I am not even close to being ready to do my part of the show like last year in the stockdog show. I know I will be like last year and train like crazy for the next month, and build some new equipment to train her on. I know I will end up doing the show. I got to get down to business and order me a new tunnel and such. I really liked doing it last year, it was just so dang hot. Perry is near Macon, which seems to be the center of H@ll, because it always hottest there. I think me and the dog both about had a heat stroke. I really drew a crowd though. They were used to seeing Deweys dogs herd, but liked the new addition. I was so scared, I wouldn't even look up, but Dewey said he never seen that many people watching, he said about 2000! I am not good in front of people, so I just pretend they aren't there, because you are always scared to death that your dog is gonna suddenly go dumb and make a fool out of you. But that never happens, she always came through for me. I guess if the weather is tolerable I will do it, I do love doing the show, but if its close to 100 degrees every day like last year, I think I am gonna have to pass. Maybe we will have an early fall. I saw the dogwoods changing a week ago, and I saw a maple changing today, hope it cools down, for everybody.

We've got some leaves changing here and starting to fall a little bit, but it's because of the heat and the drought. Been having heat INDEX of 105 - 110 here and not much rain. We don't get the really spectacular leaf color-changes here like they do a little farther north. I was born in Birmingham and we got really nice colors there, but here the leaves just kinda ooze into brown and fall, except for Japanese Tallow and a very few others. And although pretty, Tallow trees are a curse like Kudzu.
