"Number of physicians in the U. S.: 700,000.
Accidental deaths caused by physicians per year: 120,000.

Accidental deaths per physician: 0.171 (U. S. Dept of Health & Human
Services)

Number of gun owners in the U. S.: 80,000,000.

Number of accidental gun deaths per year (all age groups): 1,500.

Accidental deaths per gun owner: 0.0000188.

Statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun
owners.

FACT: Not everyone has a gun, but everyone has at least one doctor.

Please alert your friends to this alarming threat.

We must ban doctors before this gets out of hand.

As a public health measure I have withheld the statistics on lawyers for
fear that the shock could cause people to seek medical attention, acquire
firearms, or both."
gee i sure hope that you or your family has never gone to a doctor, you might be accidentaly killed there bob

BTW, how many lives are saved by doctors? By guns? You set up a straw man and I had to knock it down.

the main object of doctors is to get rich while practing medacine on us.i would like to find one that is already qualified and don't need practice .i am 71 years old and have been mostly healthy . of the times i have been to doctors they remind me of shade tree mechanics the way they think .off times the medicine they prescribe is more dangerous than the illness .

Bob    Posted 08-20-2003 at 12:08:58       [Reply]  [No Email]
The AMA is shady, yes, I will admit that. That, of course, has nothing to do with the fact that we need doctors. If you think that we don't need doctors because YOU have been healthy all of your life, then that is exactly what I mean by ignorant.

Bob    Posted 08-20-2003 at 00:09:57       [Reply]  [No Email]
Yes, let's ban doctors. Ok, I am going to break it down simply for you because I am not sure if you could handle a real dialectic.

Doctors serve a special function, a fucntion that is essential for society to thrive. GUNS DO NOT! You cannot compare the two! You can live without guns but not without doctor.

BTW, your assertion that everybody has at least one doctor is ludicrous. Do you think everyone in this country can afford healthcare?

Maybe 'old' Bob is one of those members of society that would like to see everyone unarmed to make it easier for him to prey on everybody else.
