Can someone help us?Yesterday morning my husband was awakened by the STRONG smell of skunk in OUR HOME,he opened up ALL windows & put fans in 3 of them to try to get rid of the stinch it worked in one(1) room(the smallest room) but NOT the others. It is now the next day and we STILL HAVE THE STINCH in our house. Can someone PLEASE tell us how to GET RID of this smell in our home or better yet tell us how to get RID of the SKUNKS themselves! Our clothes and just everything in the house is starting to smell like skunk! We have 2 kids in school and we have to "spray" them down with FEBREEZE before school so they dont go to school smelling like skunk! SOMEONE ANYONE PLEASE HELP!! ANY SUGGESTIONS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Take a regular size bottle of white
vinegar, pour it into a pot, and bring it to a rapid boil.
Then take the vinegar and pour a small amount into several bowls and set the bowls in the room(s) with the odor, as close to the odor as possible. This takes care od musty odors and heavy smoke smell, it may be worth trying.

Close all the windows Then put a kettel of vinegar on the stove and boil the longer the better. And maybe spray vinegar around any crawl spaces and such This will atomize the vinegar and will neutralize the skunk smell. After you can't take the vinegar smell any longer open thing and let it air out. A few vinella scented candles should take care of the rest and make things more tolerable.

Find where the odor is coming from, likely the crawl space or someplace the varmints got in and sprayed. Anywya when you locate it and get the striped kitty's removed cover the affected area real good with some lime or something to neutralize the odor, otherwise time is about the only thing that will help it go away
