I have 8 hand-sewn and quilted quilts for sale. Can anyone tell me a good place to place these quilts for sale? I have differant patterns, not really sure of some of the names of them. Any information would be helpful.

Mary -
Quilts do do well on eBay, however if you are just starting out there I would recommend starting out with something that you don't have as much time in, like - that neat vase you bought at a garage sale for a nickle or that old book you got from the library sale....
If you are thinking about doing it, go register, as you will have the sunglasses which represent a newbie there for the next 30 days. Durring that time you can buy and or sell, but expect to be treated with a bit of hesitantcy when putting up something you want more than a few dollars for.
for each successful transaction you will earn a feedback point - most people are nice and will respond to being treated well, of course there is the flip side - can't make everybody happy (kinda like the group here?? hahaha) but we do try to avoid those negative feedbacks if possible. I am not the best at applying my lips once my dander is up so we have gotten 2 in 3/4 years oulselves..
what can ya do???
Lee and I both have an account - we have both bought and sold. You can find us there at leesdewey or oldpaperchaser. Currently we are running stamps, boring but cash is cash...
Ebay is alot of fun, both to buy and sell, open it up and type quilt and then quilts ( you will get different results each time) thru their search there you can find a very specific item, a specific seller, bidder, or even look at closed items for your catagory to see what people are actually paying.
I'd be happy to help if you need a hand.
Lets see your pictures...
definitely need to do pictures to do eBay...
I'll attach the link below so you can see our page as well as ebay. is easy and here is the link to our page there.
keep us posted so we can see your stuff!!

Mary - have you tried selling them at auction on e-bay? Other ideas are donate a couple to your local fire department, EMTs, etc., for them to auction off. You can write the donation off on your taxes, as well as profit the organization. I sometimes advertise in our local shopping guide that I do custom quilts. I usually get lots of business around the spring, as people love giving quilts for wedding gifts. I would love to see some photographs of your work. Happy Stitching!

If you have photos of them, you might try putting some on here. It's about time to start thinking about Christmas, and everybody loves handmade quilts!
