Sounds like you have already decided as to what you are going to do,so why ask us? Only question remaining is whether or not your marriage will endure. If things are really bad for you where you are at, and only you and your husband know that, maybe a move is a good thing. However, got to think about his feelings, whether or not you have family where you are at, got a whole lot of thinking to do. Have to go where you can make a living, that is for sure. Hard decision, for you to make, and we in here can only hope it works out for all of you.

We can't tell you what to do, you already know that. I have moved to find better jobs myself. There were times I thought it would tear us apart. We moved from Texas to Arkansas to help take care of Father in law with cancer. Leaving Texas nearly killed me.But we are still together. I will tell ya this, you can take the boy out of the country but you will never take the country out of the boy. Guess the same applies to city folks.I wish you the best.

Ron, I understand leaving Texas almost killin you.
I just can not imagine doing that.
I do know though, we do what we have to do.
So when are you coming back home to Texas to live?
You are, aren't you? ;-)

Ms. Araujo, a good loving marriage and family can survive almost anything
especially if you invite God into it.
I hope that is the kind you have.
Pray; ask God to help with that important decision.

I agree with your wise words Lenore,
With GOD all things are possible.

Amen!
I have my little plot here bought and paid for too.
I plan to stay to the end.
There is the neatest headstone here in the old Catholic cemetary.
It is a marble monument in the shape of Texas,
with a little star where Liberty is!
It is about 36"X 36".
I know this sounds like a weird thing to other folks,
but not to a Texan. :-)

Only you can figure that out. I just want to say best wishes to you.
We have some friends here in NH with the same last name as you. They came from the Azores by way of New Bedford, MA. Real fine folks.

I'd almost rather die than live in Providence.
About 22 years ago, my wife and I were attending the National Grange meeting which was being held in Providence. We had to go to a meeting on the 13th floor of the Biltmore Hotel. We got into an elevator in the lobby with another couple we knew, not realizing that this was the elevator that goes up the outside of the building.
As soon as the elevator got to the second floor, the other woman and I were marvelling at the view while my wife and her husband were hugging the side of the cabin toward the building. We both LOAO over that every time we think of Providence.
Needless to say, when we went back down, my wife made sure we were in the elevator that stayed inside the building.

I think the kids should come first. They need both their parents. There are too many kids today who have come from broken homes and I think we as a society are beginning to pay a huge price for the many young people who have no respect for anyone or anything,no guidance and no morals.I pray you will find an amiable solution to your dilemma.Money isn't everything.

Neither my wife or I could stand being near a city, although I like the north due to the south is too hot in the winter & the west is short on water- spooky.

So, I can not advise you beyong if my area was about unlivable, I would move. It has to be agreed upon by my wife & I.
