Try here for a place to live. Upstate NY. www.odbrmls.com We're buying a place on 24 acres for $75,000. Nice people too. We dealt with American Country Realty in Sidney. They have their own site at www.americancountryrealty.com
Good luck. I found NY to be cheaper then VT or NH.

That if you are buying in the 'Adirondack Park' that you are aware of any and all 'tenets', clauses, codicils, laws, etc. that may be attached to property ownership there...

The 'Park' can be a tricky place to get anything done, and is one of the reasons that NNY property values are seemingly low...
