and no rain, followed up today by a deluge that would get Noah workin' on the ark without instructions. Dang it all to he**.

I heard the thunder so I raced out there shaking my fist at the sky jumping up and down.

"Don't you DARE! Please! We're just beginning to dry OUT!"

Whatever I was doing must have been misinterpreted by the rain gods as an actual rain dance because before I made it back in the house the rain was falling so hard I had to feel my way along.

There was NOTHING on the stupid radar this morning so I had my fingers and toes crossed all day and have the cramps to prove it, then about three when the thunder started I flipped it over to the weather channel and there was this huge orange and red and green blob obliterating the lower half of Florida. Many cuss words.

If I can just hold on a few more weeks til things dry out a bit I know my whole personality will undergo a massive change and I will be a nice person again. My grass is up to my axe, and that really works on my nerves. Can't stand a messy yard.

Been all summer reading about your property under water in parts. Can you dig a drainage ditch around the place & have it drain into a swamp?

Hey Cindi, look at the bright side.If it rains much more down there you will be able to sell that farm as ocean front property. You will make a large profit and you can buy a bigger farm on higher ground with a good driveway.Have you had to put old truck inner tubes around the middle of the pigs to keep them afloat yet???

I think I heard somewhere that fat is bouyant, which must be true as they are all still bobbing.
The little ones amaze me, as small as they are some of the puddles are neck high and they wade through it without a second's thought. It's cute as heck to watch them coming along with just their noses poking up out of the water like snorkles.

Fred's been working on the driveway the last two days building it up with discarded crushed roof tiles, so it actually is in a lot better shape than it's ever been. I just hate not being able to mow. The grass is high everywhere! Yuk! When you walk through it mosquitos come out in swarms!
