i think m.l.king said "Free at last - free at last - thank gawd almighty were free at last"

Well the girls gave me a real treat tonite - suzn & angie & buck drove up here to visit and we wrangled a pass to town. i never tried to fold that chair before so launching took awhile but they finally got it in the van, i sat there & suzn kept telling me to let her know if anything started upsetting me and she needn't have fretted. i was busy looking out the window. :)

locals claimed slim's had the best local burgers, and it turned out to be a construction beer bar, but buck was welcome (he napped halfway thru it anyway) and the jukebox was blaring and everybody was yelling and laughing and the mushroom swiss burger was great and to me it was all a slice of friday nite life in the real world. i soaked it up like a sponge.

afterward we went to walmart for slippers and such, and i got all caught up on my hugs and watching my 2-yr-old grandson buck run across the tables. i tell ya - i'm sitting here in shorts, my t-shirt's inside out, haven't even looked at my hair and i don't really care. i feel better than if i just made muster after sneaking back from town with a tankful of sake - who we supposed to kill today? :)

Morning DC, yer post brings back memories of "breaking out" My BIL Tim, When he knew we were coming the staff got strict instructions as to revile time and the lift off schedule.
Glad you got out for a bit, sounds like the local establishment was an alright place of they made buck welcome.
Keep plugging away, and a little luck and a touch of gods grace you'll be back home where you can irritate yer own wife instead of your roomy's hehehe,
Best to ya,

Awww, DC, that sounds like a really good trip you had there! I just got back from a round of the local er...barley pop establishments. Been out selling raffel tickets for the volunteer fire department. Did pretty good, sold 41 tickets, too.

Ya know what? DC, I think you are getting a LOT better! Your typing is much better which tells me you are overcoming the effects of that stroke! That is SO good! I'm glad you have the computer with you , as it seems to be GOOD therapy!

Now, your line about "soaked it up like a sponge" reminds me of the Jack In The Box commercial....LOL! "YO, JackEE!"
