Cindy's awake, off the ventilator, TALKING, drinking apple juice and eating ice chips!!!! Isn't that great?!?!?!!! I can't wait to get back to the hospital. They closed her leg today also, so maybe they can work on her hip soon.
Jack is about the same, as far as being alert goes, but his injuries are healing up pretty good. I don't know when they're going to do something with his leg, but maybe soon. His infection seems to be better. They did a trach on him to get the tubes out of his throat so he can be more comfortable also. Hopefully, it is just going to take more time for him to come around. I've heard that there was nothing on the brain catscans, then that there was, and then again, that they were all negative, so it's hard to tell for sure. I know he was conscious and talking to the doctors and family when he was first at the hospital. So, maybe it's something that will get better with time, like bruising or swelling. Thanks to you all!

Hello Phyllis!!
I am so happy to hear that about Cindy! That is just Great! The Lord does answer prayers, doesn't He? Thanks so very much for posting, I just about posted last nite and was going to ask you about them, but figured I would hold off for another day to see if you posted an update on them. So Thank you so much! I know she isn't out of the woods completly and I will continue to pray for her, Jack and their 2 children! I think that it probably was good idea for them to wait! Well I do hope that Jack does begin to show more progress, hopefully it will come soon. I hope everything continues to get better. Whenever you have another update please write! Thanks so very much, May the Lord Continue to Bless, Sarah

Great news, Phyllis! Your friends will have a long road to go, but looks like they will pull through in time now. The hip will be a major fix, but they do that with pins now. As for Cindy's leg, when she gets better do some research on Paul McCartney's new wife. You can't even tell she has a prosthetic. May God bless your friends and you.

How are their boys doing through all this? Gosh, we felt bad for them, too. We hope they will all get the help they need, both in the hospital, and at home.

Thanks!! The kids (boy and a girl), haven't seen them yet. Cindy's sister and her husband are staying at Cindy and Jack's house with them. They (the kids), are of course worried but said that they wanted to wait until they woke up to go see them, and under the circumstances I think that was probably best. Maybe they can go see Cindy soon, and hopefully, Jack too.
