My brother-in-law, 39, had a heart attack on Saturday night. Tests revealed considerable blockage nearly everywhere. He is under the knife right now!(Wed at 11:00 central time) A quintuple by-pass. He has three daughters 11,8 and 5.
Please pray for him, Clark Meyers.
Thank you very much,

Rickstir

AT 1:55 central time the nurse informed the family that the surgery was over and everything went very well. Can't tell you what a relief that was. The doctor will be out in about 30 mins. to give them the full report.

Thanks so much for your prayers! I felt so helpless being 120 miles away, but somebody had to be able to do the chores at the farm and since I work at a small college, this is our busy time of the year. If everything goes well, my wife should be able to come home on Friday morning.

You got it Rickstir. Thoughts and prayers here. It is serious stuff but is done hundreds of times a day all across the country. I had a triple done in '97,surgery on monday, out of hospital friday, at work monday. It was tough but is in past and I never looked back. My dad had a quadruple bypass in november last year at 84 and I know folks that had it done in their '90s. Point is that it is serious but very recoverable. Hope it works out for him.
