Holstein heifers 2 weeks old are bring $5.00 a pound or very close now..It seem that these mega-farm dairy's can't get enough to keep their large herds to the size that they need to cash flow..

Hear rumors that their cull rate is higher than planned. Wonder why?? Most have laborers do the milking that can't read or speak English.

Depends where you are. Depending on how many you want to buy and if you are close to the Canadian border, check into buying them in Canada. We get lots of US buyers here, but at the moment have nothing to sell. I can refer you to a good (honest) Canadian cattle dealer here if you want. It also depends on what kind of heifers you want to purchase, as well as how many at a time. Purebred out of the top bulls can cost you US$700 and up.
