Anyone know how to get the diesel smell out of clothes??? I think G took a shower in the stuff and I can't get the smell out.

Hot water & a good shot of detergent. Best if you wash alone - so as not to pollute other clothes. Then do next load with stuff that doesn't matter much, like work clothes. Dry outside in the sun if possible. If in dryer - alone with fabric softener or two. Follow with load of work clothes.

Hose them off good prefferably outside leave them hang out to dry the sun seems to take the smell out if I get much diesel on me may have to do this twice. The baking soda thing works too. Do not wash with any thing else.

baking soda to the wash cycle and use only hot water for the wash and rinse cycle. :^)

Just asked the lady in charge of the washing around here and she says that spaying something called Fabreeck(sp) seems to help.

That would be in the drier, befor putting the offending clothes in to dry.
