Thanks! I"ve gotten into many debates about whether animals cry or not.It really angers me that people consider them almost disposable!

I love animals.
I share life with Top Cat an 11 year old Himalyan nuetered male.
I have shared my abode with many cats
and several dogs at different times,
never more than two at one time.
I believe in humane and reasonable pet ownership.
I always have had mine nuetered
and I keep them healthy and got their shots.
I keep my dogs either indoors or in a nice fenced yard.

I find it very unpleasant when people obtain animals
and then dont take care of them
and allow them to become nusances to others.
It is very cruel to the animals and the neighbors.
...however, I do believe they are just animals.
The problem is not animals but uncaring pet owners,
who get more and more animals but do not take care of them
and yet claim to love them!
That is not love that is animal cruelty!

I agree Lenore. We are at our limit right now, even if we COULD afford to take in more, we wouldn't, simply because we wouldn't have the time to spend on them.

I have a neighbor who is literally killing his dogs ( 3 at the present time ) with kindness. His daschund is well over 45 pounds and is now on insulin shots.'They have been told numerous times to put the dogs on a diet but he continues to feed them whatever he eats. I have seen those dogs scarf down muffins on a daily basis!
I'm sorry but that to me, is just as cruel as starving them. The poor little dog freezes his little belly in the wintertime because it drags on the ground. I find the vet as irresponsible as the owner!
