to the beauty shop and had them whack off her mop. Oh my Gawd. I couldn't take it anymore. I tried so hard to look the other way but it was hanging in her face every time I looked at her and she didn't keep it brushed, never did anything with it.....eeeewwwww. Twenty dollars later it looks beautiful and she hates my guts. It's not short, four inches or so below her shoulders, but it's shaped and frames her face so cute. She hates me.

Cindi, some people just don't get it. You are a writer, keep giving us your wonderful stories...kay!
And don't worry, she'll get over it. Kids at school will tell her how nice it is and she'll see it differently eventually.

Cindi, tell her it will grow back. Anyway, if she doesn't want to do anything with it, might as well be trimmed. Shelby had hair down to her butt and its thick. She finally got tired of it, and told me she wanted it all whacked off, so we went, and she loves it. No more tangles like before. Sarah, she is 13. Old enough tha she should o her own hair, but doesn't, so therefore, the whacking. I totally understand Cindis plight, since I hadto do Shelby's.

Cindi, if she had at least 10 inches of hair to get rid of, you could do a search for beauty shops that participate in the Locks of Love program and get it cut for free. That is what my daughter did before leaving for the Navy. They gave her a great hair cut and the hair will go into making wigs for children who are on chemo or have this disease where they lose their hair. We used a Super Cuts for it. Don't know if they have them there or not. I know, it is already cut this time, but it's something to keep in mind for later when it grows back. ;) (a way to talk her into another haircut.)

ya didn't mention this "baby" girls age?

I wondered that too?
Isn't this the same woman who is letting her other kid quit school? One kid can do no wrong and the other is controlled even to her hair length?

Funny how we all look at things differently. To me it's just a Mom telling a story about how she wanted to see her childs beautiful face a bit more. And now can. Maybe it's me, I'm just not too deep thinking or something.

That's OK...    Posted 09-09-2003 at 03:47:15       [Reply]  [No Email]
We like you the way you are...
