A little humor for the ladies

The wedding day was fast approaching. Everything was ready, and nothing could dampen Jennifer's excitement, not even her parents' nasty divorce.

Her mother Sheila finally found the PERFECT dress to wear and would be the best dressed mother of the bride EVER!

A week later, Jennifer was horrified to learn her new young stepmother, Barbie, had purchased the same dress. She asked Barbie to exchange the dress,
but Barbie refused, "Absolutely not! I'm going to wear this dress; I'll look like a million Dollars in it!"

Jennifer told her mother, who graciously replied, "Never mind dear.. I'll get another dress, after all it's YOUR special day, not hers."

Two weeks later, another dress was finally found. When they stopped for lunch, Jennifer asked her mother, "What are you going to do with the first
dress? Maybe you should return it. You don't have any place to wear it."
Sheila grinned and replied, "Of course, I do, dear! I'm wearing it to the rehearsal dinner the night before!"

Now what woman wouldn't like this story?!
I know I did!! ;-)

So, what's the point here? Two women can't wear the same dress? I wear the same brand of Bibbs to town every Sat. to check the mail as all the rest of the men around here and no one seems to care.

LOL "...humor for the ladies" was the title;
I knew the guys would not appreciate the sublety
of the real mother's solution to the "problem".
This was not a trip to the post office!
This was that sweet daughter's wedding day!
That young step mother was being tacky to her new stepdaughter.
That is one special day in a lifetime for the girl and her mother.
I know most guys do not understand;
so what is new about that?

GOOD one, Lenore! And it's obvious the men just don't understand the program here. The situation in your story is not about vanity, it's about competition. ;)

I knew another "steel magnolia" would understand the moral of it. :-)

That HAS to be a WOMAN thing. Most guys wouldn't care if we all had the same suit on, would probably like it that way.
