We were headed off for a trailride right? HA! Yesterday evening we decided we were both to tired to go camp that night so we decided to stay at home in the comfort of our own bed and head out EARLY saturday morning and stay the rest of the weekend. But we decided to take a ride to the camp friday night so we would know where it was and how long it would take to get there and maybe even sign up to save some time saturday morning. We found it in the dark but there was NO ONE there. But there was the potty wagon sitting there so we figured maybe everyone would just show up saturday morning like us. Went back home and I loaded the last of the stuff, G moved the trailer closer to the horse pen for loading since it would be dark when we loaded them at 530 am. Got all that done and went to bed and got some sleep. I was up at 430 am. I tried to hit the snooze but no luck cause when the cat heard the alarm go off and I didn't get up he decided to push my bottle of water off on my head and keep pestering me till I got up. Got all dressed and headed out to help G and the lights on the trailer don't work . They just worked last night when he moved the trailer. Anyway, closer inspection and he found a wire that was melted. Something had shorted out. Sooooo there we are at 5 am working on the trailer lights on a brand new trailer. G decides he wants me to help him fix it. yeah right !!! All I did was stand there in the skeeters listening to him throw his fit and tell me how stupid I am cause I don't know how to fix it. Let me tell ya it was a LONG morning. He called those guys that wired the trailer every name and then some. UNTIL.....he discovered where the problem started was in a wire that HE had put a screw through when he installed the ac the other day. hehehe. That really made him mad but he did manage to get in joke about Tim Allen. hahaha. And through all this I think the horses were all in the pasture gathered arond the hay laughing because they didn't have to go on the ride today. lucky them. haha. After all that we had said we would go on tonight for the party and ride tomorrow but after a few phone calls we decided to stay right here at home. No one in our riding club ended up going either so we'll just stay put. But the trailer is all fixed up now and we are ready for the 9 day ride next week with our group. Hopefully we will make that one. I was really looking forward to this ride, especially after seeing where it was, all country dirt roads. But I am just glad that it happened at home and not after we got on the road with the horses in the dark. I had a weird feeling about this ride. I was right. So it'll be next week before Cowboy makes his appearence in his pig tails. hahaha. OH! but a couple of other good reason it kitty was having poop probs this morning and I had a goat limping. arrrghh!!! But I got them all fixed up now too. Then took a nice long nap. lol. Thankfully today is going much better. -CJ
