This came in my e-mail today.

Prayer for the Country

Dear Heavenly Father,

We are moved by the alarming news and crisis that our country is facing.

This, the greatest nation, founded in the belief that "In God We Trust" & the "Land of the Free". Please have mercy on those suffering, hurting and in fear, and give wisdom & strength to those who are assisting. May the forces of evil be broken by your power and may we humble before thee, our strength and refuge.

Give wisdom to all, our President & our leaders and bring your comforting peace through the power of your Holy Spirit. Help us here to reach to those that have been affected by this tragedy.

In the name of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus. AMEN

I join you in this prayer for the USA and for our brothers and sisters that are hurting today.

I,too, join you and the rest of America in prayer. I pray also for love and peace not just for our nation, but the whole world as well. I also continue praying that love will replace hate for our brothers and sister once and for all. I love this country of ours and the sight of Old Glory passing by in a parade or waving in the breeze. We too often, myself included, take our freedoms and our country for granted. I would love to see another hand-holding ceremony that we did a few years ago where hands across America connected. Do you thank we could do this again?I know I cannot reach out to each and everyone of you in person as I would like to, but know I hug you with in my prayers and spirit. We need to stand together and once again make America "a nation under God".

And you know the beautiful thing about this prayer? It is the knowledge that God is more powerful than evil and evil men. You just never know what God has in mind..........Thanks for sharing that.
