Where would I find plans to build a sorgum mill? Couldn't this be done with a water wheel instead of a mule?

Ask these folks, one of them might put you on the right track. I did hear of a guy that tried to crush the juice out of sugar cane with an old wringer washing machine and plastic bucket. Don't know how well it worked tho.

You'd be better servied to look for a Mill You could buy. Tho They are not complicated they would be a problem to fabricate in a shop.Don't know about water power, only used Horse power.

Could be done with water, but IMHO you would need a serious wheel to produce the same amount of torque that a Mule produces...

You would either need a large wheel with a considerable GPM flow rate, or a lesser flow and drop with a small wheel and either belt or gear reduction for the same torque...

Of course I have no idea what I am talking about, but that has yet to stop me from speaking up...

Now cut that out - you guys know full well i'm laid up! The lord not only creates these challenges for us, he also has sense of humor but makes it abundantly clear he has no intention of sharing it - so you see, it's not just the happy pills: ever dam tume i start chuckling, my bad leg involuntarily straightens out - everytime it does, my bad arm stretches too, pushing the table away - like most people, i only have one center of gravity, okay? when the table starts moving, my flimsy hip only gets so straight and then caves away from it. at some point soon thereafter, i find myself sitting in the chair which has now unceremoniously rotated backwards to the floor, and i get the distinct impression that further activity would only cause undue pain and aggravation. might i also mention that the wife's getting tired of my ill-timed outbursts of humor, since she's the one who has to reset me into a semi-typing position. thank you so much, revernds! :)

My best advice would be to continue our policy towards France that we have held since just after WWII...

Ignore them...
