I wanna collect postcards

I have recently been overwhelmed by a desire to own a postcard from every city in the United States. I think that would be the coolest thing. It doesn't have to say anything, just be a postcard with the city's name on it. Would it be too troublesome to ask people to send them do you think?

If you can post your address, I'd be glad to send one from Cleveland, Ohio, and from the "Amish country" nearby. I collect postcards myself. My collection started about 1978, when my sixth grade teacher sent me one from Ireland during summer vacation.

Cindi
I would be happy to send you a post card from Colorado Springs, and surrounding small towns. I'll check the dollar store next time I'm in town.

A few years ago, friends of ours in Virginia asked me to start writing to this older lady who was dying with cancer. Her husband was the postmaster in a little town. He never wanted to travel anywhere and see anything but she always wanted to do that and never got a chance.
So, I started buying postcards 5 or 6 at a time of different scenes here in New Hampshire. (In case I never told you this before, New Hampshire is a beautiful place.) For the last few months of her life, I would send her one or two NH postcards a week with a little personal note on them. She wasn't physically able to write back to me.
After she died, I got the nicest letter from her husband and her son telling me how much she appreciated and enjoyed getting those cards and how she looked forward to the next one coming. Made me feel pretty good, it did.

Awwww.....you old softy. That was a nice thing you did. You don't have to tell me how pretty it is up there. I know. So will I get one from you?

Hey Cindi. This new hobby can save you a lot of money in home repairs and redecorating. All you need is several thousand thumb tacks and a tack hammer.I live in the glorious state of Georgia and some people down here use post cards for wallpaper. It is a lot cheaper than paneling or sheetrock because we pay the postage and they get delivered right to your door.Post your address and I will do all I can to help you out.P.S. If you get enough of them they will also save you money on curtains and window shades.

Hi Cindi

I would love to send you a post card!

Although, we are not an 'official' USA state, we only count where it matters, or so some ppl would like to believe.

So I guess this is where it does...:-)

You have my address.

have you ever heard of    Posted 09-25-2003 at 16:35:11       [Reply]  [No Email]

dream weaver or EIO

Cindi    Posted 09-25-2003 at 18:11:31       [Reply]  [No Email]
I think so, if you're referring to the song and the rock group.

Donna from Mo    Posted 09-26-2003 at 01:09:13       [Reply]  [No Email]
Eieio is a lady who used to frequent this board but was made to feel unwelcome, I think (not by me, she's a delightful person, lives in Arkansas). And Dreamweaver, Debbie, used to sometimes post on Tractor Tales. I think she finally reverted to the lurking mode; I haven't seen her post anything in ages.

Ohhh...    Posted 09-26-2003 at 06:46:59       [Reply]  [No Email]
Yes I know EI, she used to frequent my other board, I thought she was a very nice person, I don't know what happened here I missed all that. I seem to remember the screen name dreamweaver, but just vaguely.
