...Elvis going nuts. He is challenged by winged creatures. If a large bird (stork, cow bird, buzzard, sand hill crane) flies over the back yard (his space) it just tears him up. It's crossing his territory and getting away with it. He will tear up square yards of grass trying to kill the shadow of the bird as it flies over. Dumb dog.

For some reason a flock of buzzards decided to roost in the pine tree in the hen yard. Mere feet from Elivs' domain. He has been standing in that corner since I got up at six thirty barking his head off. This is the one trait I hope the pup does not pick up on.

They make me nervous hanging around like that, almost as if they have an instinct that somebody's going to kick over. Fred says they just picked a handy tree to roost in, not to be nervous. Ooookay.

The buzzards here roost in the trees in my woods, particularly in a very large cottonwood trees. Its awesome to watch them all come in and circle each evening as they get ready to roost.
