Religion Church- My View

Religion- touchy & personal subject, pardon me if I offend. And, I am not the best writer, for sure. I am somewhat embarrased to share my thoughts, but here goes anyways.

Everyone wants to know what is the truth. No one knows the answeres, just god. The Christian Bible gives some good insight. Just read carefully & do not look for any one secret. You have to read the teachings in the bible or many bibles, step back, then think with common sense. I do not believe the bible is absolutely & perfectly accurate, however provides good direction in its many stories.

People can get confused & not all churches give a clear message. At times, self-interest obtaining a goal gets in the way. Its peoples way of imposing their will on one another and unfortunately people take short cuts.

An example in the most simple terms- Our picture of Jesus is an Italian person. Records show that Jesus would be dark skinned with more curly hair and brown eyes from that era & place. So, we have 'mans' view of Jesus to suit our needs & desires. For me, who cares in what ethnic image of man Jusus would look like.

Time is a restraint and gods kingdom does not have the restraints of time, so try to think in gods kingdom or gods plane of existance. I think time is a buffer, a safety net that allows me to correct my actions. I would be very uncomfortable if I could not correct an ill-willed deed.

Gods way can be viewed as an example. Being children of god, and with keeping in mind with gods wisdom, we are just children with very limited capacity. We see the world, not the universe. The best way we learn is by example. Love over hate. Honesty over deceit. Patience over impatience. Givers over takers. Good over evil!

Be careful of people of not being pure to the thought of what message god has for us. It happens in the church, your home, in each of us, everywhere. Forgive & move on in life. Evil pollutes, even tiny evil thoughts. But, we do live in a world of good & evil. Keep evil in minds sight at all times. 'It bites'.

I believe we are gods students on this earth. No excuses, just live within the goodness god tells us to do. Do everything to get it right the first time. Yep, I'm guilty (nothing criminal in a court of laws view), however guilty of falling short or having to learn gods lessons over again.

How I see it? I feel we are all connected together here & in a small part of gods vast kingdom. It reminds me of a forest of spruce trees. Above the ground, it looks like individual trees. Below the ground, all the trees are one living organism connected at the roots.

I do not know if other worlds exist besides the earth. Math & odds say many earths exist. However, it does not matter. My relationship with god is in-between god & myself. That relationship can be shared with others by the example we set. And, of course, I fall short of that golden example. Back to class again.

I frequent a good religion debate bbs, I am one of the non-believers in the group, If anybody would like the addy and you want to discuss religion with them I'll give it too you. But be warned it ain't pretty. every religion, from extremist to dabbler, sometimes you need a thick hide, but other times the people are great.

by the way, I like the beach jesus pictures.

Well- I believe things are blown out of proportion. I like 'keep it simple' type thinking. If I was to bet, I do not believe one just dies & turns to dust. That about as far as I care to venture, but I avoid country club churches like a plague.
