Finally made it back from a 9 day trail ride. It was great. Started in Center Tx and rode to Warren. Great scenery. Lots of hills and trees. We camped by a stream one night. That was fun. Made a few new (actually better) friends. I knew most of these people from rising with this group a few other times but only REALLY knew a couple of them. AFter camping, cleaning, cooking and riding for 9 days with these people I got to know everyone pretty good and made friends with some I didn't think I ever would. They turned out to be totally different than they seemed. I'm glad we got to go on this ride. Just sorry we are going to miss few good rides with them in October. Anyway..hope everyone here is doing great. Isn't the cooler weather great? Wish it would have been here a few days earlier for the ride. Was too hot then. oh well. Still had fun.-CJ

I was in Center about the same time you were SeaJ. I was filing the deed to my new property in Shelby County. You could have gone about 9 miles out Hwy 87 and yall could have camped on the creek on my 40 acers or even stayed in the house and barn. I got running water and you don't have to run and get it...HAHAHA!!! Yall could have even split up some fire wood and put it in the barn if you wanted to. Thats my next chore when I get to go up there again. I sure hope to spend most of the winter up there setting right by the pot belly stove watching TV.

Gee, if you were in Warren, why didn't you come another 20 miles to my place? That would have been the prettiest of your trip, up over the mountain.
Hard to see how you got from Texas to NH and back in 9 days.

well see, her ride comes from pony express (like them UPS horses) stock. they can get darn near anywhere overnite :)
we used to have one like that - he jumped the fence and roundtripped 10 miles overnite - while he was there, he ate uncle alfred's turnips and impregnated their filly - if a nite like that was in store, i'd be tempted to jump the fence too!
