We must all have war on our minds after this devistating occurance. The lives of thousands were lost and America lost a symbol of power and stature. But we must overcome the devil within us and realize that the holy ghost has other ideas on his mind. We must put violence behind and look towards the future and the regrets we would have if we went to war. The Devil got to the the manians who did this evil doing...He shall not get to us. If so, we will only destroy ourselves...Our nation. You do what you do you do.

Oh I get it, let's just forgive them and wait for them to develope Neuclear weapons and bomb us again. Then we'll be wondering why we can't fight them since 3/4s of us will be dead! You are way out of touch with reality.

I agree with you, this talk of war is going to acomplish nothing but losing a lot of 18 and 19 yr olds and lower us to the level of the terrorists. I am glad to find someone that agrees with me on this one.

Dang it guys. Can't you see this dude is just yanking your chain. He don't even deserve an answer.

Ya got that one right Fred. Either he is doing some chain yanking or he's dumber than a retarded oyster

Violence is uncalled for in this event. There has been enough to account for years of the senceless act. This is my perosonel opinion...I am for peace all the way on this...But if we were to go to war I will respect the governments choices and prudly fight for my country...I am an 18 year old freshman in college. I would drop out to fight for our proud country...But I am just being strong here...IM reaching deep down and fighting off violence. It is in me...But I am just holding it back...Self control. But thanks for any opinons...And for trading places with one of the victtims on the plane believe it or not I would. My heart is quite large and when I first foufn out this happend I askes myself why it couldnt have been me. You might think I am bullshiting but although you might thing I am to immature and young to realize...I do care for others...Even our enemies. I do what I do I do

No Name- Thank you for honestly stating your opinion. Part of the problem, as I'm seeing it, is that the "turn the other cheek" and "love thy enemy" thinkers are on the other extreme from the religous fanatics that are causing all the trouble.

Please make a big note that the motovation behind them people is religous fanatacism, not politics, not money, not lust, or any of the other problem sources. They have bastardized Islam with their rhetoric and teachings.

Millions of good Muslims around the world are having a bad time figgering out how to respond to and deal with the terrorists. They know better than the rest of us what a crock of crap is being promoted in the name of Islam. But, they're hung up about speaking out and putting the fanatics down and denouncing them as the sons of dogs that they really are.

Religous extremism either way is part of the problem and most certainly is not part of the solution.

Another post here someplace mentions that Hitler's troops belt buckles carried a statement that God was with them. Ask a Jew for an opinion on that one!

Again, thanks for posting, IHank

Can't agree with you, mr Anonymous. There is a time for war and this is it. It is time for us to pray for God's guidance and wisdom for our leaders, courage and honor for our soldiers and mercy on all of us. We gotta be in this war. We don't gotta like it, but we gotta be in it. The enemy wants us all dead or converted to his sick version of Islam, which is not true Islam. If we turn the other cheek, he wins. We will fight him on his soil, on our soil or wherever we find him, but fight we must. In return, he will not be attacking our soldiers, but attacking our civilians. Ask yourself, which is the just cause, ours or his?

IHank    Posted 09-18-2001 at 08:49:30       [Reply]  [Send Email]
Nameless- Get a grip on reality! You people that are preaching all this "turn the other cheek" crap are the material that martyrs are made of. Do you also wish you could back up time and trade places with people on those aircraft, or in those buildings, or the emergency responders? If you can honestly answer "yes" please do so and you got some credibility. If not you're hopelessly full of yourself.

Do unto others as you figger they'll do unto you, but do it to them first! IHank

Hank & others, on this "turning the other cheek"
I've always wondered what would happen when the American people have finally been slapped around enough and come full circle? With the current politicians is this event enough?

BTW: When it comes time to be sending the ground troops in, I for one would like to see then carrying soft & or hollow points instead of the FMJ's with the blessings of the UN, NATO, other countries as I feel it would make the right statement and be a great moral booster!

Jerry B    Posted 09-18-2001 at 18:33:16       [Reply]  [No Email]
We need to use the FMJ's. HP or soft Pts do not penetrate soft body armour. Not sure but i would suspect then might try wearing it.

just remember what goes around comes around

Jerry B    Posted 09-18-2001 at 18:29:21       [Reply]  [No Email]
That is PRECISELY why we are going: because it has come around to us and we need to give it back to them.

I've been reading up quite a bit on the subject of terrorism, and in situations that victims don't retaliate, terrorists target those people again and again. In situations where victims retaliate as fiercely as the terrorists themselves, the terrorists respect is earned and they will leave them alone. So, peace is a nice idea, but it will just lead to more casualties to our own people.
