Trailer vise

I'm looking to rig a homemade vise in the back corner of my trailer - it would be used like a 3rd hand - steadying anything from pipes to boards while we work in them. of course, it'd be nice if it setup and broke down easy, stored handy and was simple to make and use. the ones in the sketch could probably fold down right on the trailer bed. it'd also work better if it helg big things tighter than little ones, but long as it hangs on that's extra. any suggestions? :)

Why not buy a real vise and put on your trailer? Granted it'll cost more but the results will be much better. You could bolt a plate on the bottom of the vise, weld a piece of 1 1/2" square tube on it sticking straight down and then another piece of square tube could be welded on the trailer so the vise will slide in it. It would be just like a receiver hitch on a truck. That way you could take it off when not needed and keep it out of the weather.
