After a couple years looking, I was able to snag a New Perfection kerosene cookstove (3 burner) this weekend. They're sold new now for around $900; I paid $12 and it is in great shape.

It is a model 395...does anybody know when it was made?

We are going to use it for canning and heating the scald water when we butcher chickens. It is light enough to carry around and set up on the porch so it won't heat the kitchen up so much when we're canning.

I'd appreciate any info y'all might have!

Hey, I need info too! Mine is a three burner, says 1938 on it. (Although if they're made new, I didn't know it. There's not that much to them mostly sheet metal.) Mine came with three new wicks, still in boxes.

Lehman's contracts some Amish folks nearby to make identical duplicates of the old stoves...they also sell new parts that fit the old ones, so if you need any repair parts, they will be the ones to call.
