What do you have for breakfast?

I was just reading an article here in a magazine about peoples breakfast eating habits and was wondering what do you usually have for breakfast (during the week and on weekends)? As for myself during the week, always black coffee and toast (home-made bread) with peanut butter and sometimes cold cereal (cornflakes) and milk. On weekends often the same with the occasional bacon and egg meal or maybe pancakes or hot muffins (if mamma feels like it).

I usually have orange juice (to take my vitamins and blood pressure medicine), coffee and a sausage or steak biscuit. On weekends, I will usually fix a REAL breakfast of coffee, eggs, GRITS, bacon or sausage and biscuits. Love those grits. On weekends, my wife joins me.

Either 2 Bagels or a dish of oatmeal and 1 can of diet Coke. About once a month bacon and eggs. Gotta have breakfast every day!

if my hens have laid, one egg in a bowl with a few drops of water, whipped and put in the microwave until it puffs. Heat a tortilla over a burner and put egg, tablespoon of salsa, and a little cheese. Good protein and quick. If the hens have not laid, toast and hot tea.

I have the same thing everyday - a mountain dew and 2 marlboros. I'm surprised someone else doesn't share the same bad habits I do. Or maybe some of you do but don't want to admit it!! ;)

I quit Marlboros when they were less than 65 cents a pack. And I drink coffee in the morning, soda is for later on in the day.

by the time i get up get the animals fed and everything else done its lunch time and then time for an afternoon nap. gonna have to git up earlier an try this breakfast thing you all are talkin about.

Usually just a glass of OJ for breakfast during the week. On Saturday, usually I cook eggs and bacon or something along those lines. And on Sunday, cold cereal...definetly the sugary kind!!!

Cawfee and cold cereal, about 99% of the time. Might have oaty-meal once in a while in the winter, but more likely to have that for a mid-morning snack.

My blood sugar is so low in the morning, my primary requirement for a breakfast is that it be QUICK! Wake up, pee, stumble down the stairs, turn the pooter on, turn the coffee water on, pour a bowl of Munchie Crunchies and commence feeding my face whilst reading my mail, surfing the boards and waiting for the coffee water to boil.

Over the last 30 years, my wife, my chillens and my dogs have learned NOT to speak to Dad until he has at least a coupla spoonfuls in his face, and then only in dire emergencies. After cawfee is MUCH safer...

Your priorities are off; you are supposed to turn on the puter on the way to the bathroom so it will be ready for you to surf while coffee is making.

The closest john is upstairs, the pooter is downstairs, and at my age, the bladder takes precedence over email.

Sides, the pooter warms up while I dump the munchie-crunchies inta the mixer bowl and slop a quart of milk over 'em...

Usually cold cereal (Cheerios or Shredded wheat) with banana or peaches. And coffee, of course. In the winter I'll have oatmeal a couple mornings a week, with raisins and chopped apple and cinnamon and a spoonful of nuts thrown in.

Two 16 oz cups of coffee each morning during the week and on Saturday (unless I weaken). On Sundays I make either breakfast burritos or two breakfast sandwiches to go with the java. Waaaaay better than those served at those fast food dumps.

Mostly Swill as my Dad calls it. Round up raw oats, wheat germ and powerded milk. About 1 1/2 cups in a quart jar fill it about half full of water stir well and chug a lug. I like to premeasure in they mason jars and leave them on the top of the ice box. This allows me to walk into the kitchen in the mornings and fix breakfast, consume it and be out of the kitchen in less than 5 minutes. Since I have been laid off I have gotten out of that habit but will pick it up later this week when the new job starts back. On off days I have found that a breakfast of Diet Cherry 7Up, vodka and lots of ice works well and completely stops arguments with neighbors. They have never lowered themselves to argue with a body laying in the front yard at 6:15AM.

That is Ground up oats and not Round up oats. I grind it all in a blender. Make about 2 weeks worth at a time.

Coffee. Two cups. I try to eat anything before I've been awake for a few hours and it tends to come back up.

same thing for about 20 years - (waitresses call it my "usual")(and they get a dollar tip for remembering)

coffee (creamer), 3 sausage links, eggs over easy and white toast(some kind jelly). don't forget the ketchup and keep the coffee comin :)

Generally a cup of Joe, a banana, and a couple of granola bars. On the weekends (sometimes) and days off I may have a "country" breakfast, eggs or french toast or pancakes, with bacon or sausage. More if I eat out. Of course a large breakfast means I eat less at the other meals.

Will be interested to see the answers. Me: I'm on that fruit till noon diet, so I have juice or coffee and some kind of fruit. If I get hungry before lunch, I eat more fruit. Whatever kind I have around. I cheat on weekends though and have oatmeal (cooked, don't like that instant stuff). And maybe some wheat toast with butter.

instant oatmeal isn't cooked? :) well no darn wonder mine seems so hot and sticky! lol

gotta tell you a true story: when we went to australia i didn't reognize their cereal brands so asked our friend clare to recommend some, she assured me that muesli is good so i got a box. couple weeks later she asked if i tried it and i told her it's nice and crunchy but seems to need extra milk and sugar. she said "really? how long do you cook it?" and i said "cook it? you're supposed to cook it???" :)

Bein a fat fella and not wanitng to add too many inches to my already large waist I just have coffee. The only meal I eat each day is supper. And dang if I havent switched to diet beer to try and keep off the additional pounds lol

Usually only have coffee and orange juice.
Rarely I go out for breakfast,
then I will have eggs, hash browns, breakfast sausage, bisquit and coffee.
I really like "breakfast" any time of the day.

I am bass ackwards. I eat heavy food for breakfast and lighter food thru the day. Right before bed, I have a big glass of milk.

Two eggs over easy, link sausage or bacon and biscuits,along with plenty of coffee every week day , and on week ends I might treat myself with a big plate of salt herren fish and buscuits.
