I was trying to figure out was Red Devil Lye. Sounds scary doesn't it?

The formula:

Fill a five gallon bucket halfway with whole dry corn

Add two level tablespoons of lye.

Fill bucket 3/4 of the way with water, stir well and allow to sit for twenty four hours or until the corn has soaked up the water lye mix.

Feed by poundage per normal.

Now I'm going to try this on my sow that is down in weight as it's supposed to get rid of EVERYTHING including flukes. But I am not advocating the use of it until I see how my hogs do on it, but some of the old farmers swear by it and don't use anything else. I asked at Ace Hdwe where I bought it and the sales guy said that everytime he sells it, he asks, and that's what it's wanted for.

I know it works because when I was a teen I use to enjoy riding out with some friends to feed the hogs, they stopped by the store and got drums of scraps and some red devil lye, humm and they just dumped it all over the food and gave it to them, these people knew how to make things work with out all the garbage of today, they were big healty looking pigs!, I now have some and trying to find out the amounts etc good luck
