Water scooper

i'm still digging into the i.d. of the fire-fighting planes we saw last week - apparently there were 2 of them, they were huge, they scooped water right off blueberry lake and they looked like national guard but may have belonged to the coast guard of all things. (coast guard in minnesota? - oh well) anyway, they're reportedly modified cl 130s and they sure moved water to the fire :)

Water scooper? I'd guess it's a Canadair CL-215. (if it's a turboprop it would be a CL-415)

Go to this Link and look at the Air Tankers and see if you can find it. If you do post a picture and I will see if I can find out for you. Just Right Click on the picture and put the address in the bottom of the posts "Optional Image URL". Mark H.
