Storm chasers tale of country boys saving his but brought this story to mind for some reason. There is a Hotel (BAR) 'bout ten miles from me that has got itself quite a reputation the last 30 or 40 years or so. You know it is one of those places at a crossroads that always has a decent crowd of locals and if you are a local your ok but if your not well you take your chances. This one night a guy and his woman got to fightin with each other, just poundin the h@*l out of each other and all the good old boys just sat back and let it go figurin it was none of their business, finally the bartender broke it up and threw the guy out. This feller go out to his truck and gits his shotgun comes back in figuring to cancel her ticket for good. Well the boys figured that watchin a fight was just good entertainment but a killin was a bit much. The guy ended up with a busted shotgun, a busted head and spent the next year or so wearin one of those stainless steel halos drilled into his skull holding his neck together. Law never got involved country took care of it's own problems.

Wow, that sounds a lot like Trigger's bar down the road from us. The actual bar used to go all the way across one wall, but what with the pulpwooders hanging out there (with their chain saws), it now has a nice pass-through to get behind there.
