its that time of the year when the hooks in the mudroom fill up with hooded sweatshirts, boots end up in a pile and a snow shovel shows up all of a sudden happy winter

Yep, I'm not sure how I'd survive without a hooded sweatshirt. I start wearing them pretty early in the season, and then layer more on top as the weather gets colder. At the end of winter, I start taking off the layers and finish up with just the ole hooded sweatshirt again in early spring.

I got a new Carhart coat and Carhart bib overalls a couple of weeks ago. I am all set. I buy new carharts about every 5 years. I don't think they have raised their price in 15 years.

I love this time of year but after Jan 1, I am ready for spring.

I hope the Rams beat the Steelers today.

The weather predictors around here were telling me that a cold front was coming during the night. It was supposed to go down to the 40s (cold for here in SE Texas because of the humidity). I went to bed thinking of what warm clothes I had handy for in the morning.

I woke up and checked the temp 69F; what happened? Those cold fronts the weather people get excited about rarely get here.
