Satellite TV

We just decided to pull the plug on our satellite tv service cause they just bumped up the cost a little more and the 100 channels of crap we get just ain't worth it.

I now have two receivers from DishNetwork and one from DirectTV. Anyone know if these things are worth anything or could be of any use to anyone?

I hate to throw them out but I hate even more to keep them around for nothing.

There's times I get tempted myself. But right now ain't one of the. There's a Classic Tractor show on RFD. See you after that's over. (Unless it's one I've already seen 30 times).

I bought a used dish receiver to replace the one I had that just wore out. Used my old card, had to call and work with a tech, but it worked out ok, and was cheaper than buying a new one. I'd probably do the same if it wasn't for RFD and Speed channels. I've seen everything on History.

Yeah I wish they would make some new history stuff too...

Put them in the closet. Direct will call you soon with nothing to offer but wanting you back and
call again in a couple of months with lower fares.
Not sure about dish.
In the meanwhile, enjoy the peace.

The dishes and receivers are not worth much due to the fact that there are so many promotions where the equipment is free if you sign up for a certain amount of time....also, to switch ownership, I am pretty sure there is a charge.(the new owner would have to buy a new receiver card)making it even more hard to sell........:(

My 2 cents.....;>)
