Anybody know why the loader on our M won't go down when its loaded quite heavy.Don't know brand of loader but its a paulson look alike. It's a single action( only lifts up, gravity down). If I don't load it too heavy with wood it will come back down.It lifts almost any thing we ask but you have to dump bucket to get it back down.

Does it refuse to go down? Or is it just very hard to push the hydraulic control lever in ? Will it go down if you push real hard on the control? This is pretty much normal on the Ms and Hs. I have the same trouble with mine, and, like yours, only when the bucket is loaded heavy. I have been toying with the idea of installing some restrictor valves in the hydraulic hoses that go to the cylinders. These valves will allow full flow to raise the cylinders, but will restrict the flow for lowering, and should relieve some of the pressure on the valve in the pump, thereby making it easier, and safer, to lower the loader.
These restrictor valves should be available at most farm supply stores.

Sven I think you mite be right. It will go down some times but you have to push hard on lever and it seems to bottom out and still not drop.I'll check restrictor valve out, thanks much

Been over to the Farmall Board? Or the Implement Board? Somebody's bound to help you over there.
