had these leftovers laying around, so i thawed out 1 1/2 loaves of frozen bread dough (wheat), melted together 1 1/2 sticks of butter, cup each of regular and powdered sugar, dumped in maybe a tbsp of cinammon, tore the bread apart and dipped the pieces into that, threw them into a glass casserole dish and started the oven at 375. oh, i poured the other cup of leftover mud on top. i'm thinkin it will either be caramel rolls or monkey bread - what's your guess?

I was just wondering if you knew where the Monkey Bread Recipe originated from. I have to do a project involving all of my core classes and I need to find out where it came from. If you have any answers please email ( them to me. If you know any one who might know the answer to my question please tell them my email address so they can answer my question ASAP. Thanks A Bunch!!!

My guess is the place is going to smell great!
No matter what name you give it,
it will be delicious with a big hot steaming cup of coffee!

if it turns out, it'll go along hunting tomorrow - otherwise it'll be warmed up, have hot milk poured over it and become an un-named evening snack :)

I am guessing you got WAY too much sugar in that bread. Might taste good, but sure as he44 ain't good for you.

maybe you're right - it was real "rich" and had builtin icing crackled across the top - i was thinking there's just enough powdered sugar left for 1 more batch so might not hurt to skip the granulated -- sure is good though - caramel's all drooly - outa last as long as the average batch of fudge (gone by morning if the kids stop by :)
btw since she lived to 85, i'll eat whatever gramma ate and if she saw this she'd have the bowl on her lap - no commandments being broken in that :)

My grandmother lived to 83 too, but most of her sons didn't make it past 60. You don't need diabetes
REt bet it is good though
