some one was asking about a metal pan seat for a horse drawn piece of machinery and I suggested a discarded satallite dish. There are always a few of these things at the dump and me not wanting to throw anything away that may have another use I have been trying to come up with good uses for them.So far I use on at the drill press to keep an assortment of freqently used bits in and another behind the radial arm saw to deflect the sawdust to the floor and of course one of these and a 5 gallon bucket make a good seat. Does anyone have ideas for their use or projects that you have used them for.

I welded one to a one inch pipe to make a bird bath. They don't seem to be embarrased to use it.

Remember those great big ole mesh dishes that were like 10-12 feet across? I would like to scrounge one of those and build my self a gazebo and use it upside down for the roof.

The yuppies can put one on the top of thier SUV. Maybe people will think they have satellite tv aboard. They did that with cell phone antennas years ago.
