Just wanted to let y'all know she is better. Her leg doesn't hurt. She does has bad growing pains sometimes, got it from her daddy's side.

Gary, I used to run her to the doctor for every sniffle and sneeze. She is allergic to most antibiotics, like me, so it is kinda dangerous to try new drugs. We have had some real doozies trying to see if she was allergic to the things I am. Besides, aren't the 'bugs' growing more and more immune to the drugs? Most of the time, if its just a cold or a fever, it will run its course with a little motrin and Robitussin. Plus, she wasn't necessarily sick with the same thing every day, and it turns out it was not connected. My parents go to the doctor constantly, I am just not that paranoid.

Anyway, she is fine, and I do have a mothers instincts, along with a home remedies book, and some acetometiphen and a heating pad did the trick. :)

Kelly - I like your medical independence stance. Taking responsibility for one's health, and more importantly that of our children, is not an easy road to take. You will certainly get "looks" from some folks that run to the doctor at the drop of a sniffle or headache. I'm sure the medical system would operate better if the doctors were only paid when the public was healthy and NOT when they were sick ;-) With the litigious society we live in, I am afraid to give medical type advice (me without malpractice insurance and all ;-) But I can still admire from afar the stalwart tenacity of someone who looks into a situation before running to the doctor. I'm sure you'll keep a close eye on your child.

Thanks Bob for the vote of confidence :) Love your home, presume you are selfsufficient indeed, thats a good thing! :) I admire that.

Ok,I'm glad to hear she is better but I just always got worried when the kids were sick more than a couple of days, because kids don't usuaaly stay sick long.

Good girl!!
You can get sicker going to the dotor's office!!
It is full of sick people and
you have to wait with them forever in that germ filled waiting room.
I do not go unless I have no other options.
Moms have pretty good instincts.
