Spit roast pig

to view a picture of a perfectly roasted pig go to photo gallery . 3 pictures . was roasted 4 july 03 week end for my sons 48th birthday.he wanted a spit roasted pig so i modified the grill i had previously made from a fuel oil tank with the rotisary inside . took about 9 hours to roast (75 lbs ). done to the bone and very moist .served with dipping sauce and 2 kegs of beer .someone said i could sell the rig for $2000.oo and i said i might sell for that .son got all excited that he might not end up with it .

looks like it's doing the job alright - we use 2 big drum cookers for burgers and hotdogs at the mudrun - we're up to maybe 2000 people, keep thawing more & still sell out every year :)

i've run into that eye-candy problem with my homemade backhoe - haven't even scooped dirt yet but people sure like it - maybe next spring i'll sell it and build a better one yet (there's always a better one no matter how nice things turn out :)
