As if I didn't know already that I flunked the physical for the mine, they sent me a nice two paragraph letter detailing my failure in bold black type. You is a wimp, they said, AND WE DON'T NEED YA.

Well phooey on them too, that's my philosophy. Went crawling back to Walmart (literally, I'm still not straightened up all the way) and they said SUUURE we'll take you back and even give you a better position to boot. Said we understand why you would dump us at the chance of doubling your income, but have ya learned anything?

I musta done something right while I was there because they seemed to be glad to welcome me back. Could be the four days of training that they already invested in me. Could be all the paperwork they still have with my name emblazoned across the top. Could be they are going to spit me back out the door after the holidays. Who knows. But I am once again employed and I will not be tempted again. The last thing I needed was reinforcement of the fact that I'm getting older and weaker, but what do I do. I go out and have to prove it to myself. Big dummy. Oh well, oblah dee oblah dah, life goes on. Yeah.

Cindi, how many OTHERS didn't make it either? I bet most of them were men who tried out with you, too. You did a lot better than I would have.

Aw, c'mon Cindi!! You ain't old, and you sure ain't weak!! That test was impossible, no two ways about it!!

At least you got a better position at Walmart out of it. And hey, Walmart is safer than some stinky ol' mine! They can keep their crummy job!!!

I know I'll sleep better knowing you're in Walmart instead of that crummy mine!!!

Well I did have these fantasies of putting away some bucks to get a new truck, but all in good time I guess. I'll just have to wait a little longer is all.

It's the mines loss. Hope you feel better before you return to Walmart.

Try taking a bath with Epsom salt.

Mrs. Ludwig has a friend who makes bath salts with dead sea salt. She adds flowers and such to make 'em smell purty.
Well I like taking baths so for Christmas and my birfday I always get the salts. Mrs. Ludwig discovered Epsom salts for some ailment or other and found a deal where she could buy two big bottles of 'em for about nothing. THEN we visited my folks and she felt the ailment again, this time I made her only buy the little box which will last basically forever.
So whenever I take a bath now I use a little bathsalts and a BIG dose of epsom salts. I like saltwater baths, feels real good. Makes my skin not so dry when I'm done.
