Is Johnson grass poisonios after a frost,and to what animals.Thinking of cutting some hay with some in it.

Roger it's safe after curing when cut as hay. The frost thing is debateable, Back in the 30's We lost several cows to the stuff but They were grazing it in summer time.
I grew up scared of the stuff and still am but I do feed it now and have had no problems I know of.
I'd still keep em from grazing it tho. Course, I cannot stand snakes.
