How about Who Would You Like To Meet?

I would like to meet Alan Jackson. His mother still lives in Newnan, and he goes there to visit her. I think he is just a sweetheart. I would also like to meet Martina McBride. Her voice is heavenly. She seems like such a good person.

I am not much on meeting political people, sorry.

I don't think I would want to meet anybody from the movies, it might be a letdown. The characters actors and actresses play tend to build them up a lot.

I'd like to meet Jimmy Carter, not because he was a great president, and not that I agree with his politics... but after reading his book, "An Hour Before Daylight" I love the person he is. I would love to have met Harlan Howard, but he's dead; he's one of the most prolific songwriters ever.

it's kinda a strange concept but if somebody could get a video camera setup on a little planet, and that planet was lightyears away, and the camera had some kinda killer lens, we could get videos of our grandparents plowing their fields and walking across the yard, right? and we could see images of the depression caravans moving west, and the dust bowl and buffaloes and indians peeling birchbark and -- so hop to it science, we ain't got forever :)

I like that idea, but it would take some kind of Star-Trek type of "Warp Drive";)

Maybe you could aim that lense at Dallas circa November 1963 and put an end to alla the wild speculating that's been goin' on lately.

Gotta give you credit DeadCarp, you sure don't think like the herd. Nowadays they call that "thinking outside the box". We need some more of that.

NO!!!! politicians!!!!! there are enough in the family already to give a guy a belly full! Actors and actreses???? ummmmm can't think of any right off hand....probably one or two..... the people I would realy like to meet, and tentative plans are in the works, are the members of the group who left here about a year ago, when things went to H... in a hand cart, we have our own website, and keep in touch constantly. Some of us still post here by times, but, the old flavour is gone......wonder if it will ever return........have a gooder, R.E.L.

I would like to meet God. Mark H.

Sarah    Posted 11-25-2003 at 18:04:10       [Reply]  [No Email]

Yes, I will meet God, when my life on this earth is over, and he calls me home.

I wish I knew everyone would be able to meet God, I think this world has pulled away from the God in everything, and everything else.
I think that is what part of the problem is in hollywood, etc.
Just my personal oppion.
Thanks,
Sarah

As far as famous people, no thanks.

I think I would like to meet Mel Gibson, just to tell him that even though some people are jerks, I think it is great that he wanted to make a movie about Jesus. I also wouldn't mind meeting Pres. Bush. I like him, but I would like to tell him what I think about Medicare. Hate seeing my mother paying $90 for 1 presiption.

Sam Elliot and Neil Young.

Ludwig    Posted 11-24-2003 at 05:51:28       [Reply]  [No Email]
Yuppers on both of them. I'd like to see Neil Young's model railroad too.
Apparently his kid has cerebal palsey or something so he's built this big model railroad that the kid can control, quite the deal.
