This one is new to me. My kids have always had thursday and friday off for Thanksgiving, But at thier new school, they are off all week. They told me that, and I couldn't find the months school calender, so I made um get up a 6 anyway and get ready and if the bus came, no problem, if it didn't they could help with morning feedings, anyways, no bus. I called the school at 8 and they said the kids were correct, Does anyone else have extra helpers this week. Trying not to sound to old, But in my day.........We went to school for everything. lol

Our schools are off Wednesday through Friday. About the norm.
I always have my help even on school days. My daughter and I get up at 6:00, do the chores go back in and get ready for school and work. Bus arrives at about 7:15 and we are off.

Mine is off all week. She is also on the new year round schedule. If yours are on that new schedule, they had a week off in September, did they? It's the same amount of days as the old schedule, its just rearranged differently. They get more time off during school months than over the summer. She went back to school the first week in August. I kind of like it, because we can take our vacation in September, and nobody else is around on the beach! :)

No my kids go to school Sept thru June. Though I think year round is a good idea. I actually have children who love going to school, either I'm boring or they ain't to fond of shoveling Sh*$. No, really, they both enjoy learning. Not many cartoons around here...Discovery or things we all can enjoy. Which reminds me, I think I have the only 11 and 9 year olds that much rather watch Leave it to Beaver or Andy Griffth rather than some of these programs on tv now.

Schools here are out too, saves us like $300,000 by not having a short week, they make it up by starting a week earlier.
No I don't understand how we save the money either....

Hi sdg. I would've been suspicious too. Kids must have loved you this morning.
Holland has school today and tomorrow. St Bona's is off all week. All of my daughter's friends in other colleges have school this week.
Enjoy the extra "help".

Morning wisereader, went thru holland last night going to east aurora, thought about swinging by, round dinner time, figured since your daughter was home cause she missed mom's cooking, I'd see what I was missing. :) Bet it's nice having her home. Have a good Thanksgiving.
