Well, we are back. Me and a buddy of mine went deer hunting in Thicket, TX which is about halfway between Livingston,TX and Liberty,TX. We went to a lease owned by his uncle. We didnt see any deer bigger than bambi. The place was flooded pretty good by all the rain down there lately. Deer just wasnt moving like they should have been. We stayed at his uncles river cabin on the Trinity River in Ace,TX. We didnt get to shoot any deer so we had a party last night and that made us feel a lot better. We had a good time anyway.
If anyone lives close to that area I would love some hints on something to do when night falls, or somewhere to go. May even be interested in meeting with you and sharing some of your experiences. Well, we are planning another trip in 2 weeks, so any ideas will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks to all JEFF

Where did you say you was from? I am almost just across the river from where you hunted. There used to be a nice beer joint south of Livingston a few miles named the FULL HOUSE CLUB. But the owner had a heart attack and died.

I live in Greenville About 50 miles east of dallas, born and raised. I went down there with my buddy. He has family down there and knows a few people there. We had a great time down there. Would like to find out more about the area and find something to do at night. Maybe meet someone from the area and share a couple of cold ones. Let me know if you have any ideas. JEFF
