He went bear hunting in Canada, elk hunting in New Mexico and now up north deer...I had 4 deer in my yard yesterday.!!!!!!!!I heard a gun shot went and looked because we had a longhorn steer shot last year and the last place we lived a neighbors goat got its front legs shot off. So I looked they were running through our pasture. They jumped the fence went accross the driveway. There was a little one running behind, she jumped in our farm pond .Had trouble but swam accross ,got our ran. They got to my swans which were out walking around it was chaos for few minutes swans didnt know what was going on nor did the deer. Why go north when theyre in back yard??/

geeze dont get so serious.Hes a workaholic I like for him to get away. Its good for a couple to be separated once in a while. He did get a bear,no elk,got a nice elk last year. Hes going for deer.white tail. But its funny we have them in our back yard.I think if he would just want to get away from me he could have done that long ago were married soon 34 years.Since we were 18....

An old fella i worked with once told me - oh i don't come here for the money, i have enough money, i just enjoy the friendship and useful activity and such, keeps me limber. i suggested then he wouldn't mind signing over his paycheck to me cuz i coud sure as heck use another one! :)

yep my mom used to tag along hunting but just stayed with the cars - she shot as many deer out the window with slugs as the guys who got their silly mittens wet. Men go hunting for lotsa reasons - i expect mostly to get out and away from the humdrum of home and work. if you sit on a hillside for a morning and witness a war between ant colonies for example or watch clouds being born, it gives you something to think about besides how soon christmas or taxes are coming up. once that fence-ugly gal in the firetower starts looking good, it's time to go home. most guys remember that - and for you it's a break from him too :)

That is probably the best description of why I go sit in a boat/tree/cornfield I have ever heard...Sometimes I even take a gun...

yup - when i was in the hospital, my stepson decided to pick thru my pistols already. luckily they were scattered some. anyway, i've been very quietly emptying the gun safe ever since - only 2 left in there and i know where they're going. so i'll hunt with a camera now if atall. course, if it proves to be fruitful, i'll get film next year :)
