My mare was awesome! She was so calm and tried her hardest. She doesn't have the speed or agility of the smaller horses, but once she caught on to what we were doing, she tried so hard. The people there were very helpful and patient with us. We had one good run of the night, but ran out of time and didn't score, but had a lot of fun.
I don't know that we will Pen on a regular basis, but we will deffinately try it again.

There are several Arenas here that hold competitive horse activities. The one we were at last night had two outdoor arenas and an indoor one. We were indoors. It was pretty windy and cold last night. Some of the arenas only hold "games" during the spring and summer months because they are outdoors. There sure were some really good penners there last night. I felt self conscious, but they were all so nice and helpful. My poor fat pony really worked her butt off. It was very good for her.

Congrats, adds a whole new demition to pony riding when you can lean to work together penning and such. Sounds like all you and your horse need is lots of wet blankets.
