Greetings Fellow Gardeners,
We live in the picturesque Vancouver BC CANADA area and are just starting out in our first little home with a huge but sadly empty yard. I would be ever so grateful if anyone cares to share absolutely anything they have…seeds…of any sort that you are allowed to mail to CANADA would be most appreciated...We are on an extremely tight budget but I want to teach my children as much as I can about nature. I HOME SCHOOL our 4 little ones, Sally 8, Ursula 6, Natalie 4, Neil, 2 and Yoda the dog,6…:0…..I wish to teach them about gardening and have the happy memories of growing and tending their own plants. Just anything would be a wonderful help to get our garden and our nature lessons going. I am really looking forward to teaching my children the joys of growing and nurturing in the garden and also to attract some good bugs birds and wildlife to examine and appreciate. Any info about the plant seeds would be welcome to assist my teaching about other countries and areas and the heritage and homeland of the plants we are trying to grow.
Hopefully we would have thing we could trade soon too but for now all we can offer is our thanks and postage payment if that helps anyone....God’s blessings to everyone for sharing so kindly with others. I don’t have anything to trade yet but promise I will share my future efforts with others.
sunny gardening to all!!!
Love and many thanks in advance……!
Please mail seeds or plants along with your names and return address to:

I think I got some real nice hollyhock seeds I can send. They'll be nice this year, better next. And you can get plenty of seeds to share with others.

I would be glad to send seeds but I don't know what restrictions there might be on such products crossing the U.S.-Canadian border. Can any of our Canadian forum folk enlighten us?

i have checked with customs and been told that as long as the seeds are label as follows there will be no trouble at all

Amanda and kids: Not sure if there's a problem with sending things like that across the border. I'd love to help you out but maybe spring time would be a better time for this request. I'm a long way away from you on this continent (NH).
We have several home school families in our church and we encourage them very much. Same goes to you. I may email your post to one of them.
A former pastor of ours was once pastor at the Hillside Baptist Church (think I have the name right) in Vancouver. Heard of it?
