I SINCERELY wish that storm would have hit us here....we don't get diddly in the way of snow here in northern Illinois. It stinks....enjoy your snow everyone!!!

Hello
Went to bed last night had about three inches. Got up this morning and had over 22" on flat and up to three feet in drifts. Been cleaning snow all day. Still snowing now. Ken

hey dan , we got about a foot the other night , but that old indian fellow CHINOOK came and took most of it away,we might have 4 inches at most and normally this time of year we would have at least 4 ft. gotta love it.

The only real 'city' around is 10 miles north and I just heard that the official depth so far is 17 inches...Expecting 6 more according to the radio...One place in the Northeast Kingdom is reporting 2 1/2 feet so far...Jay Peak is reporting 3 feet at the top...

I got it. About a foot and a half probably. Been out since 2 or so, home for breakfast and back at it. New Chevy/Duramax with v-plow is working great. Have been sideways a few times. Time to eat and get back out there, another 15 driveways or so.

just seen it on the news 20 inches in some places glad its them and not us this time.

Willy-N    Posted 12-06-2003 at 22:36:54       [Reply]  [No Email]
Ya and I thought our 6 inches was a mess last night! If we had got 2 ft I would be snowed in for a week or more befor they get to clearing our road. We are last on the list the city gets cleaned up first. Of corse I am prepared to stay at home during the winter for a couple of weeks if nesasary. Just don't let me run out of Ciggs and Coffie. Mark H.

ciggs and coffee and your worried about pain pills lol, don,t ya know them cigs will kill ya. i quit 23 years ago ,never miss them now either. we get a couple of feet sometimes but usually about a foot at a time like yesterday, but the highway crews do a pretty good job out here we don,t have anything to do with the city.

Willy-N    Posted 12-06-2003 at 22:49:05       [Reply]  [No Email]
The Ciggs and Coffie are my pain pills I am hooked big time on them! Don't drink anymore quit that 18+ years ago but ciggs they are my crutch and only vice left. The countie takes care of our roads and the city does theres we are just the last one's to get there road cleared. Only about 10-15 familys use our road to get out and they get the bigger groups done first. If it get's windy our road can drift 10 ft deep in places and they need the big blower to open it up again. That baby can blow some snow too! You can here it about 1/2 mile away and it throws snow several hundred ft if needed. Great to watch and they needed it in the storm of 96 twice on our road. We were stuck for 5 days got out for a few hours then spent another 3 days snowed in. Mark H.

I quit cigs more than 2 months ago now...Went from 50-60 hand rolled butts a day to zero over night...No patch, no drugs, just quit...I am amazed how easy it was and ashamed it took a 'scare' to make me quit...

I still think of it a couple times a day, but nothing I would call a
'craving'...

Quit for the people you love if not for yourself...

OK...Sorry...Swore I wouldn't be one of 'those people'...

I used to say I only started when I was 18 years old! But that was 34 years ago now. I cringe everytime I buy 5 cartons at a time and blow 120.00 on them at the Indian Smoke Shop!! It is on my list of my last bad habit to quit. I have tried many times befor and just climb the walls and get very mean with out them. I wish they had a none nicotine cig to start the cold turky on I think it would help. I need something to do with my hands while I quit. Alcohal was easy just quit one day and that was it no with draws or wants at all. Why can't smokes be that easy?? Mark H.

i quit the smokes just after i quit the booze about 23 years ago now i guess,i been out here about that long too and if we get snowed in its usually only for a day , all that snow we got yesterday is pretty much gone , rained and warm winds all night only a couple inches left now , i don,t care much for winters , plowin snow is wasted time as far as im concerned like the spring an summer can get out doors more, made a good score at work tonight , they remodeled and had a bunch of shevling to throw out i grabbed it all for the shop and some steel too, got lucky.
